HS Wildlife Club Partners with FP House to Learn About Big Cats and More
High School students from Dalton’s Wildlife Club visited the First Program this week to mentor Kindergarteners in Lorena Caballero-Bower’s (H15) Kindergarten class.
In the first meeting of this year-long partnership, club members spoke with the Kindergarteners about their favorite animals, played animal charades, and discussed ways to protect and maintain the habitats of tigers and big cats.
The energetic Kindergarteners eagerly shouted out some of their favorite animals, including pigs, cheetahs, and jellyfish. One student even introduced the club members to the Hawaiian Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa fish!
For their next meeting, the HS students tasked the Kindergarteners with thinking about ways they can help support wildlife and the environment.
