Faculty and Staff Attend the Office of Equity & Belonging’s IDEA Lab - Session III
Dalton's Office of Equity & Belonging hosted the third IDEA Lab workshop series on Wednesday, April 26. These workshops, coordinated by Chief of Equity and Belonging Johára Tucker and her team, aim to address equity and belonging-related themes as part of the school's ongoing programming.
IDEA Lab provides opportunities for faculty and staff to lead workshops and presentations for professional development and community building. The program also incorporates House, Assignment, and Lab elements in alignment with Dalton's overarching institutional goals and vision.
Faculty and Staff chose from a range of presentations such as, "Beyond Financial Aid is Available: Supporting a Socioeconomically Diverse Student Body"; "Beyond Mockingbird: Auditing Curriculum to Meet the Moment; Session 2: Teaching in the Now, “Boundaries Over Burnout," and "Jamaican Melting Pot of Food and Culture." The workshops aimed to provide faculty and staff with the tools and knowledge necessary to promote equity and belonging in the Dalton community.
