Approximately 100 Dalton Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers took the American Math Competition (AMC), with eight students receiving a national math award for their top scores. Administered in November by the Mathematics Association of America, the AMC tests students with 25 high school-level math questions, covering topics including advanced algebra, geometry, precalculus, combinatorics, probability, and number theory.
The eight students, recognized below, will advance to take the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME) on February 1.
