Kindergarteners Welcome Special Visitors at Grandfriends Day 2024

Dalton Kindergarteners enthusiastically welcomed their guests to the First Program for Grandfriends Day 2024 on Friday, May 3. 
Following a classroom visit where students proudly showed off their projects, Grandfriends gathered in the gym to see a slideshow and video featuring Kindergarteners. In her remarks, First Program Director Gillian Todd shared students’ observations. One said, “I listen to her because she’s my grandmother, and also because she’s the smartest person in our family!” Another shared, “My grandfather plays chess with me, and sometimes I let him win.” 

Head of School José M. De Jesús spoke about how much his grandparents inspired him and noted the important role that Grandfriends play in the students’ lives. Finally, to conclude the program, Grandfriends enjoyed the children's sweet, crowd-pleasing singing performance.
