Record-Breaking Achievements in Scholastic Scope Writing Contests
As the 2023-24 school year drew to a close, we celebrated the final winners of the Scholastic Scope Writing Contests. The year was truly exceptional, with 25 students earning top honors and setting a new all-time record for our school!
The May 2024 edition of the Scholastic Scope Writing Contests enabled our students to showcase their incredible talents. We are thrilled to spotlight the achievements of the winners:
Evelyn Peng '30 won the Breaking Contest with a creative podcast exploring the evolution of breakdancing.
Neal Ring '30 was honored for his podcast in the Breaking Contest that offered an overview of the history and enduring popularity of this dance style.
Zach Kumar '30 won the Storm Chaser Contest with his insightful speech about the legendary meteorologist Ted Fujita.
Oliver Gelb '30 earned accolades in the Tunnel Contest for his original monologues that skillfully explored the use of indirect characterization.
Students are encouraged to continue to explore their passions and embrace their creativity.
