Dalton Represents at the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) People of Color Conference (PoCC)

Making up one of the largest independent school cohorts represented, 48 Dalton administrators, faculty, and staff members gathered at PoCC in Denver. The conference equips educators at every level with knowledge and skills to enrich our diverse school communities.
Our community members spent three days engaged in seminars, keynote speaker sessions, and workshops aimed at exploring the diverse experiences of people of color at independent schools.
Thank you to the Dalton faculty and staff members who led PoCC workshops:
  1. Johára Tucker “Doing the Work: Don’t Talk About It — Be About It!”
  2. Stephanie Harris “Equity in Accountability: Improving the Disciplinary Process
  3. Diku Rogers “Building a NEST: Developing an Enrichment Program for Historically Marginalized Students to Thrive
