A Taste of Culture: Mandarin Students Explore Chinatown

Earlier this month, Dalton's 7th and 8th grade Mandarin students embarked on an exciting field trip to Chinatown.
They explored the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) and enjoyed a delicious meal at a classic dim sum restaurant.

At MOCA, students participated in a lively scavenger hunt, diving into the rich history and contributions of Chinese Americans. They then headed to the iconic Jing Fong restaurant, where they experienced traditional dim sum dining firsthand.

To wrap up the day, students practiced their Mandarin skills by ordering boba tea and shopping for Asian snacks at a local Chinese supermarket. It was a memorable, immersive experience filled with culture, language, and lots of fun! Click here to view the photo gallery.
