5th Grade Spanish Students Make Vegetarian Birria in the Teaching Kitchen
5th grade Spanish students visited the Teaching Kitchen to extend their knowledge of Mexican cuisine while reading the novel Los 15 de Raquel.
Based on a recipe in the novel, students made vegetarian birria, a traditional Mexican stew often served in tacos. Students shredded mushrooms, blended peppers, and tasted this spicy, savory food.
