House 23 Science - Forensic Detectives

House 23 Forensic Detectives have been busy at work learning how to hone their observational skills!
They learned how to take fingerprints in the field and were awarded certificates from the FBI as Junior Fingerprint experts. They also examined the veracity of first hand observations in an activity called, “Don’t Look Back.” They received Silver Shield detective status at the completion of the first tasks. Then, we created a faux crime scene for the young detectives. (N.B.: The “crime scene” was about an item that went missing from my desk over the summer.) Their assignment was to make observational drawings and to also write the words that described what was at the scene. The forensic detectives were most diligent in this task. Their final week of Detective School will reveal the culprit who “borrowed my seal without asking”. The students will then receive their Gold Shields!
