More Art at 89th Street

If you're at 89th Street and have time to go up to the 12th floor exhibition space, please view the 5th Grade Masks. 
5th graders were introduced to masks from cultures around the world through examples shown by Museum Liason Stephanie Fins.  Working with Mr. Bottwin, Ms Hanauer, Mr Meredith and Ms. Sirow, students fashioned masks from clay and fired.  The students then painted their masks and added a variery of materials to enhance the character.  The photos give you an idea, but a viewing will bring out the details.
