Diwali

Juhi Pande, Shravya's mother, visited Dalton to demonstrate a dance and to teach a dance to House 37 & House 33 in honor of Diwali during their music classes. Students liked putting on the Lenghas and sashes, and enjoyed dancing with the Dandia sticks. Arik's parents, Nobel and Ruth Gulatti, read a book about Diwali to House 35, and each child was given an opportunity to make a Diya. Arik's grandfather also took part in this experience. Sonia Sharma, Karina's mom, and Ambika Kapur, Jai's mom, visited House 36. They explained that Diwali means; friends, food, fun, and festivities.
