Our class was buzzing with excitement on opening morning! With our aprons and farmer nametags, we were ready to sell! The day was a hit: with parents visiting the market, followed by almost all the classes in the school and many of the administrators, faculty members, kitchen staff and security staff! To say there was never a dull moment is an understatement! The class thoroughly enjoyed selling all our delicious produce, herbs, granola, bread, and reusable bags. They did a fantastic job at their designated posts. We heard our farmers tell customers what herbs go well with certain foods, how delicious the granola and bread tastes, and the freshness of the produce.  They attended to each of their customers needs, providing them with bags, helping them choose items, and giving them tips about the total cost of their items.  Additionally, the cashiers did a phenomenal job checking out the customers, our re-stockers always made sure the produce, herbs, granola and bread were replenished, our baggers made sure that everyone had bags for their purchases, and our friends handing out the fliers made sure to thank everybody, as well as politely asking if they would like to make additional donations.

The farmers were superstars!!
