College Office Introduces Third Counselor

The Dalton College Office is pleased to announce an expansion to include a third full-time college counselor. After an extensive, national search and interview process, we are excited to announce that William Hummel, Assistant Dean of Admission at Pomona College, will join us in the fall.
The search led us to three finalists, who were brought to campus in April. Interviewed by students, faculty, parents and administrators, our candidates were able to learn more about Dalton, and we, in turn, learned about their aspirations and interest in joining our community. Mr. Hummell impressed all of us with his professional vision, engagement within the work of admission and college counseling, and the intellectual curiosity and energy with which he approaches all he does. We are, therefore, excited work with him and look forward to introducing Mr. Hummel to students and parents through various events in the coming year, and to the new perspective he will bring to the college counseling office and the Dalton high school.
