Locations include the Morris-Jumel Mansion (Harlem Renaissance), 1930's subway cars, the flight deck of the USS Intrepid, the Naumburg Bandshell, and the Swing46 dance club. Students explore the unique characteristics of each dance through the complex musical and societal events from which they evolved, reinventing each style to serve their personal expression. Dance faculty, Joanna Brotman and Blake Pearson, swing dance teachers Nathan Bugh and Gaby Cook, and filmmaker Greg Keras produced the film.
