MS Debate Program Attend Championship Tournament

Three teams from the Dalton Middle School Debate Program attended the Middle School Public Debate Program Championship Tournament in Allentown, NJ on April 16.  The following individuals attended: Abid Sikder ('20), Gabriel Wong ('20), Leyla Jacoby ('21), Avi Mehta ('21), Zara Chapple ('21), Abby Rosenblatt ('21), Juliana Yu ('21), Rebecca Solomon ('21), and Alexander Levine ('21).
Students had to research six topics in preparation for the tournament, ranging from cloning animals rendered extinct because of human activity to the idea that the United States should implement a "no-fly zone" in Syria. Leyla Jacoby and Juliana Yu each received an individual speaker award for their performance. Hats off to all three teams for an outstanding job!
