HS Spanish Students Write, Direct and Perform a Puppet Show for MS Students
Carlos San Juan and his Spanish Composition and Conversation students wrote, directed and performed a puppet show for middle school Spanish students last week. The script told the story of “El Secreto de la Llama,” a traditional Peruvian folktale that tells a tale very similar to that of Noah's Ark. Sixth grade Spanish students were in the audience as their high school classmates performed using puppets and a custom-built puppet stage. They incorporated PowerPoint slides to support the story, which was narrated entirely in Spanish. What a fantastic way to share language, culture and content across divisions. Bravo to Señor San Juan and his talented students!
