Alumnus Anderson Cooper Grateful for Surprise Book From Dalton Library

Anderson Cooper '85 got a surprise delivered to his desk from the Dalton Middle School Library. Maria Brousset, the Circulation Coordinator for the libraries, sent him the book after finding his and his brother's name on the checkout card. Anderson thanked Maria on air on "Live! With Kelly and Anderson Cooper" on the August 1 episode.
As Maria was in the process of withdrawing books, she saw the Anderson brothers' names on the checkout card of the book,The Fetterman Fight, which they had both checked out as middle school students. Rather than donating the book, Mrs. Brousset thoughtfully decided to send it to Anderson, inscribing it to say that the brothers were two of her favorite students.

At the end of the clip, Anderson acknowledged on air, "This is now...one of my favorite possessions. I wanted to thank the librarian." View and share the complete episode on YouTube.
