Great results at the 2016 National K-12 Grade Championships in Nashville. At this mid-December competition, Dalton's chess team came in first in 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th grades. The team finished in second place in 4th, 8th and 10th grades.
To really drive home Dalton's dominance, second grader Jack Yang and sixth grader Sumit Dhar are individual national champions and fifth graders Gus Huston and Nate Shuman are national co-champions.
"We are, with no serious rivals, the number one chess school the country," reports Dalton's Chess teacher David McEnulty.
