First Graders Spend Some Summer Days Mathematizing
First Graders and their parents have had vibrant discussions about math in their daily lives. Many captured a picture of a mathematizing situation. Mathematical conversations took place on the subway, on the streets, and in grocery stores. Some discussed a strategy for calculating a cab driver’s tip.
Our program aim is to instill a joy of learning math and its connection to the real world. These mathematical conversations and math games are a good way for your child to apply what was learned in school.
Stop by the East Lobby to see photos of these math experiences.
