Kindergarten Students Contribute to Food Distribution Program
The First Program Kindergarten students baked corn muffins and decorated bags to contribute to the Church of the Heavenly Rest's Thanksgiving food distribution program. Before Thanksgiving break, the students and their teachers walked over to the church to present their donations and learn a little more about the church's work in preparing and providing meals for those in need.
During the baking process, some of the children did “muffin math” and investigated how many muffins each House and the entire grade had baked. Of course, they also discussed measuring ingredients and baking time.
The children were proud to participate in this program.
