House 33 Performs A Trickster Tale From West Africia

House 33 has been studying trickster tales from West Africa. Their work culminated with a performance of "Anansi Does the Impossible!" Their tale included puppet shows they had recorded, choreographed dances they created with the help of Justin Greer, and painted backdrops worked on in the Art Room under the guidance of Jocelyn Russell and Anne Lockwood. The grand finale "Celebration Dance" is based on an African dance workshop they took earlier in the year with Jasmin Simmons from the High School Dance Department.
