Maya Popa

Maya C. Popa is the author of The Bees Have Been Cancelled, named a Poetry Book Society Choice in 2017, You Always Wished the Animals Would Leave, published in 2018 (DIAGRAM chapbook series), and her forthcoming book American Faith.
Her criticism and poetry appear in the US and the UK, and she is the recipient of awards from the Poetry Foundation and the Oxford Poetry Society, among others. She is the Poetry Reviews Editor of Publishers Weekly and director of the Creative Writing Program at the Nightingale-Bamford School, where she teaches English literature. She is a PhD in poetry candidate at Goldsmiths, University of London.
