Dalton Musicians Perform a Pop-Up Concert

Dalton musical duos premiered their latest musical works at a first-of-its-kind production.
Rather than performing under the bright lights of the Martin Theater, Dalton musicians offered a more relaxed musical experience to an intimate crowd of Dalton students, parents, faculty, and special guests who gathered in Room B06 for Dalton’s first-ever Pop-Up Concert.

In this tranquil venue, audience members sat only a few feet from HS and MS musicians who shared some what they’ve been working on this semester in their classes. Performances included:

  • Pillow Dance by Bartok, performed by Zeran Li ’26 on violin and Eileen Li ’26 on marimba
  • Après un rêve by Gabriel Faure, performed by Ines Chomnalez ’21 on cello and Meena Mohajer ’21 on piano
  • Blue Skies by Irving Berlin, performed by vocalists Kelsi Garrett ’22 and Grace Pezzilli ’22
As the concert closed, HS Computer Science Teacher (and trained chef) Charles Forster Stewert provided musicians and audience members with popover baked treats from the Dalton Teaching Kitchen -- a delicious end to a delightful evening.
