Dalton Math Team Wins the Downtown Mathematics Invitational Competition
Dalton students won the Downtown Mathematics Invitational Competition (DMI), competing with over 200 public and independent high school students from all five boroughs.
Teams with six students worked together on challenging problems and proofs for 7 hours. The students’ success was not only a result of their strength in math and problem solving, but also their ability to work collaboratively. Our six team members were: Mehrab Jamee, Kai Mawhinney, Jake Berg, Shravya Pant, Jordan Paglione and Thomas Breydo. In addition, Eliza Goldstein and Katie Hwang were part of an alternates team. Jordan Paglione also received a medal for being in the top eight students individually. Congratulations to all!
