Fifth Graders Study Ancient Artifacts at the Penn Museum
Fifth graders traveled to Philadelphia to visit the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology as part of their year-long study of the Ancient World.
During their trip, students explored engaging Mesopotamian exhibits, art galleries, and artifacts dating back over 4,500 years. In addition to examining these archaeological wonders, students also participated in hands-on activities with UPenn experts, including a workshop on cuneiform, an ancient writing system that Sumerians invented circa 3200 BC.
