House 91 Reflects on Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Vision
First Program students celebrated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during their House 91 assembly.
K-3 students gathered in the First Program gym to sing songs about courage and serving, share their thoughts on what it means to have a vision, and listened to a special presentation about Martin Luther King's hopes for change, equality, justice, and allyship.
In the presentation, faculty members shared inspiring video clips about Dr. King’s life, talked about his contributions to the Civil Rights Movement, and discussed how MLK Day is a time to reflect on Dr. King’s social justice work, but more importantly an opportunity for us to take action in our own communities.
Families are encouraged to visit the Dalton libraries for resources and explore various events around New York City to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
