Thirty-two Dalton players competed among over 1,500 students from the Greater New York area.
The K-3 team won 1st place led by 3rd place individual winner Aaron Kotchen ’29 and 7th place individual winner Abram Crystal ’29, with Hannah Chan ’30, Jacob Feuerstein ’29, Henry Nieuwerburgh ’29, Brody Silvers ’30, Kevin Stern ’29 and Callum Vonwiller ’30.
The K-1 team won 4th place led by 2nd place individual winner Jeremy Tao ’31 with Eden Klein ’31, Stella Olim ’31 Owen Pang ’31, Wesley Romig ’32, Liam Roso ’31, Devi Tsuboyama ’31 and Xander Yaeger ’31.
The K-6 team also won 4th place led by 13th place individual winner Iris Mou ’27 with Alexander Mash ’26, Logan Newby ’27, Reese Rutkoske ’28, and Bowe Siegelson ’27.
Dalton players also competed in 7 other sections and performed strongly including Lily Rae Feuerstein ’30, Maiya Kang ’28, Bryce A Lee ’28, Julian Feldman ’31, Winslow Salemi ’31, Spencer Siegfried ’31, Calder Wang ’31, Eleanor Wang ’30, Stephanie Weinberg ’28, Alexander Weinberg ’25, and Jameson Wong ’29.
The event represented another strong result for Dalton Chess. The team was coached by Beatriz Marinello with support from a talented group of coaches, including Miron Sher, Alla Grinfeld, Mac Molner and Kassa Korley.
