We anticipate that some families will be spending time away from home for Thanksgiving. In an effort to limit the transmission of COVID, the school will follow New York state guidelines for health and safety, including requiring students, faculty, and staff traveling internationally or from a state on the New York State Travel Advisory list (updated weekly) to quarantine before coming to campus. 

Per New York State Travel Quarantine Regulations, when arriving in New York from a restricted state or country all students, faculty, and staff must quarantine for 14 days from the last day they were in that state. Please note that a negative test does not excuse anyone from this mandatory quarantine period, or shorten its duration. These guidelines are designed to protect the health, safety, and well-being of our entire community, and we hope we can count on each of you to think of others as you make your plans.  

If your child attends in-person supervision, PlayLab, enrichment activities, athletics, or takes advantage of co-working spaces and you are planning to travel during Thanksgiving break to a state that is on the NYS Travel Advisory list, please inform Margaret Johnson at mjohnson@dalton.org no later than end of day Friday, November 20, so that we can plan accordingly.

We’ll resume digitalDalton remote classes, in-person supervision, co-working, Athletics training, PlayLab, and enrichment opportunities on Monday, November 30, following Thanksgiving Break. While we expect the number of students on campus to decrease temporarily due to this quarantine requirement, our digital academic program will not be disrupted.
