5th Graders Create Music Podcasts in Percussion Classes
Over the trimester in digitalDalton, 5th grade musicians tried their hand at recording original podcasts with Music Department Co-Chair Bill Solomon.
Each percussion class worked in groups to produce its own audio content, including real and digital drumming, recordings, found object sounds, interviews, improvisation, and autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR). Students even included imaginary advertisements interspersed along the way to resemble an authentic podcast experience. Be sure to check out their first episodes by clicking here.
