Dalton students celebrated Earth Day by raising awareness about environmental issues and educating the community on ways that they can contribute to sustainability and environmental justice.
Earth Day activities and programming included an Earth Day Celebration Screening to watch the Annual National Earth Day Stream and a phone banking event to urge Texas environmentalists to vote in their upcoming election.
High school students Jeremy Jarecki ’22 and Charlotte Sadelain ’22 created a slideshow entitled Environment Action Opportunities with guidelines for participating in Dalton’s Earth Month efforts.
The School also partnered with refashionNYC, a program focused on secondhand and sustainable fashion, by hosting a clothing donation bin in the lobby at 89th Street. In addition, Dalton MS/HS Science Teacher Evie Harrison organized an Earth Day Bingo card to educate students on how they can help to preserve our natural environment.
