5th Grade's Mesopotamia Study Leads to The Morgan Library
As part of their study of Mesopotamia, 5th graders recently visited The Morgan Library & Museum in NYC.
Students enjoyed seeing the museum’s current exhibition, "She Who Wrote: Enheduanna and Women of Mesopotamia,” which highlights the role of women in ancient Mesopotamia. The main focus of the exhibit is the high priestess and poet, Enheduanna.
The 5th graders also learned more about cylinder seal iconography with Dalton Art Historian Dr. Michelle Marcus and got to roll an actual Mesopotamian seal on clay!
