Chau, Luna! FP Library and Spanish Teams Visit Spanish-Language Bookstore
The First Program Library and Spanish Teams spent conference day visiting the incredible Spanish-Language bookstore ¡CHAU, LUNA! (bye-bye moon) in Industry City, Brooklyn.
Together, they selected a number of new Spanish books for students to check out from the FP Library. The new books will be highlighted in the library’s newly-revamped Spanish Language section.
Chau, Luna’s founder, an Argentine journalist, and mother of two living in NYC writes, “If we want to succeed at raising bilingual readers, we need to offer them books that are thrilling to read.” The store’s mission is to “build a Spanish-language collection that children of all ages will find fascinating.”
