11th Grade History Tours Jewish Museum Exhibition "New York: 1962-1964"
Students in the "Nature/Technology/Power" sections of 11th Grade History visited the Jewish Museum for a guided tour of "New York: 1962-1964."
The exhibition afforded students an opportunity to see first-hand how significant artworks and visual and material culture from that area reflected a variety of social, political, and economic transformations while also helping to articulate and broadcast ideas about civil rights, feminism, and progressive politics.
In addition, the exhibition demonstrates the pivotal role played by the Jewish Museum as it championed this art and the meanings and causes associated with it.
