Faculty and Staff Gather for Session Two of IDEA Lab Workshop
Dalton Faculty and Staff came together on Wednesday afternoon, January 11, for the second session of IDEA Lab, a faculty and staff-led workshop program incorporating equity and belonging themes.
Coordinated by the Office of Equity & Belonging, the program features faculty and staff members presenting and leading workshops on a number of equity and community-oriented topics. Session two featured 20 discussions and activities in total, including Childhood Bias, the Chai Culture of India, an introduction to Cuban Santeria, and Yoga and Mindfulness.
IDEA stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Activism and represents the great work and community building each faculty and staff member enacts as they teach, learn, and grow together. In coordination with The Dalton Plan, IDEA Lab incorporates elements of House, Assignment, and Lab in alignment with the school’s overarching institutional goals and vision.
