Doug Feinberg '90 Speaks to Sports and Society Class

Dalton’s Head Track and Field Coach and Assistant Girls Basketball Coach Doug Feinberg '90 visited HS History Teacher Donald Okpalugo’s elective “Sports and Society” on Thursday, February 9, to speak with students and discuss his career as an Associated Press sports journalist.
At the AP, Doug spearheads the publication’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Top 25 poll, and in 2016, he started a WNBA media poll that features awards for the league’s top players.

In class on Thursday, Doug detailed his journey to becoming a journalist and how the internet and social media shaped the evolution of the sports media landscape. In addition, he discussed the issues of access and representation in women’s sports and his award-winning feature on Brittney Griner
