California Regional Gatherings in Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Los Angeles

Dalton's Alumni Office hosted well-attended Alumni gatherings in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Los Angeles in late-April.
That evening a lively reception took place at Greens Restaurant with beautiful waterfront views of the Golden Gate Bridge. More than 50 alumni from the Classes of 1957-2017 attended. The next day, almost 30 alumni from the Classes of 1965-2021 got together at a reception graciously hosted by Thomasin Franken '99 in her Los Angeles home.

At both evening receptions, Ellen warmly introduced José. He shared that each morning, when he walks into Dalton, he feels inspired by the amazing teachers and remarkable students. He talked about this year's priorities which include taking a close look at the Dalton Plan – commenting that he especially likes having Labs with students to talk about a wide range of topics. He also said that Dalton's commitment to diversity is important and holds a special place for him. Alumni asked questions on topics such as mental health, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and social media. José is enjoying getting to know the Dalton community – especially meeting Alumni at Dalton events on and off campus.

Chief Advancement Officer L.J. Mitchell, Director of Alumni Relations Samantha Koss, and Associate Director of Alumni Relations Debbie Freeman joined José and Ellen for these regional alumni gatherings.
