Middle School Celebrates Reading & Writing in Assembly
Earlier this week, Dalton’s Middle School community came together for a Celebration of Reading and Writing assembly.
Students in grades 4-7 took to the stage to share original pieces of writing and excerpts from literary works that inspire them. Audience members delighted in poems, short stories, and nonfiction pieces that spanned a variety genres and perspectives.
The audience also enjoyed words of wisdom from published writers in our faculty — 7th grade History Teacher & House Advisor Hareem Khan and High School English Teacher and Creative Writing Program Coordinator Christopher Hood. Together, they helped answer the question: “How do I become a writer?” The answer? Keep writing!
