Dalton Parents Learn More About Artificial Intelligence

Last week, the PA Parent Speaker Series, in partnership with New Lab, hosted a panel conversation on AI and its role in education and daily life.
John Neiers P'34, P'36, Director of the New Lab for Teaching and Learning, Sid Sen P'30, P'34, Principal Research Manager in the AI Frontiers Lab of Microsoft Research, and Vihaan Kotahwala '25 led an engaging conversation on how Dalton is approaching AI. 

More than just a meeting on policy, the evening showcased how AI is already being utilized, from thoughtful dialogue starting in Middle School to practical application in High School classrooms. 

Parents learned about the latest initiatives and policies shaping AI in education, both at Dalton and beyond. They were shown a first-hand account of AI at work in the real world and learned how a Dalton senior interacts with AI in a variety of ways. There are a number of student-led initiatives that are shaping the future of education with AI in real-time. 

The evening concluded with a compelling Q&A session. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
