Sundance Winner “God Grew Tired of Us” Screened at Dalton

Thanks to Producer Adam Schlesinger ’84, The Dalton School held a special screening in early January of God Grew Tired of Us, a Sundance Award Winner.

Newmarket Films and The Dalton School held a special screening on Tuesday, January 9, in Dalton’s Martin Theater of God Grew Tired of Us, winner of both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. We are grateful to the movie’s executive producer, Adam Schlesinger, Class of ’84, for making this fantastic opportunity possible.

After 10 years of wandering the African wilderness, surviving famine, disease, civil war, bandits and even lions, three young Sudanese men fly to their new homes in the United States. Their great adventures of discovering life in America are chronicled in God Grew Tired of Us

God Grew Tired of Us, narrated by Nicole Kidman (Brad Pitt was also involved as a producer), shows how these three astonishing “lost boys” triumph over insurmountable adversities, form a family, adjust to a new culture, and continue to work for those left behind.
