The day before Marathon Sunday was cold, cloudy and windy in Central Park, but filled to the brim with warm hearts and hundreds of happy kids who participated in the 9th Annual Ronald McDonald House Kids-Helping-Kids Fun Run. For the first time, Dalton sponsored an official school team. 35+ Dalton kids, from Kindergarten through 8th grade, signed up to run and raise. As a group, the Dalton team raised thousands of dollars for this amazing organization that provides a warm and loving home-away-from-home for kids being treated for pediatric cancer and their families.
 
Our Dalton kids ran races from 220 yards to one mile, based on their ages. Everywhere you looked, you saw bright red cheeks and enormous smiles, for a job well done, a race well run and a most worthy cause supported. This year, approximately 750 kids participated in the run, compared with 630 last year.
 
Many thanks to the PA's FP Community Service Committee, especially Carla Graubard for making all the arrangements.  We hope to see 150 Dalton kids there next year!!
