Lillian Redl, High School Preceptor and 9th Grade Dean, spends quite a
bit of her free time outside of school composing classical music and
singing opera. Members of the community had an opportunity to learn about Ms. Redl's passion when she presented her work at March
7th's high school Interval Seminar. Ms. Redl discussed how she became
interested in music at a very young age and how her work with music has
progressed over the years. She spoke about the process of
composition, the challenges of writing for the voice, and where she
finds inspiration for the pieces she creates. Additionally, accompanied by student musicians Peter Asimov,
Meagan Callahan and Erika Mistui, the audience was treated to live
samples of Ms. Redl's original works.
