At the HS Sustainability symposium on Earth Day, students and teachers paused from regular classes to engage in conversations on this timely theme. This day was dedicated in the memory of Strachan Donnelley, Dalton parent and grandparent, whose life’s work embodied the values of self-reliance within the context of nature as community.
Students and faculty attended presentations and activities by community members and experts in fields related to sustainability -- from the viability of bamboo bicycles to sustainable food to creating art from recycled materials.
Congratulations to organizers: Teacher Will Hopkins, Museum Liaison Stephanie Fins, and student Molly Inadomi '09 and the many students, faculty and staff who made this great day possible.
