For the sixth year, the MS held the 7th and 8th Grade National Geographic Geography Bee Contest.
The Bee was emceed by Mr Perry, ably assisted by Ms. Hong (as scorekeeper). The 12 winners from the House Geography Bees answered questions for two rounds, after which seven contestants were eliminated. Then the field of five was winnowed down to only two contestants: Benji Stoll and Alexis Harris. They went head to head for the longest tie-breaker so far, until Benji emerged as the winner. He will take a test to see if he qualifies for the NY State Bee and possibly go on from there to the nationals in Washington DC. Good Luck, Benji!
