Geotagging Privacy Perils

It is not widely known that photographs and videos taken with smart phones and advanced digital cameras may record GPS information which pinpoints the global position when a picture or video is taken.
Teachers from New Lab for Teaching and Learning (NLTL) recently spoke with Middle School students in the laptop program reminding them of the school rules regarding the schools one-to-one program (laptop.dalton.org), as well as continued Internet safety practices. One topic they covered was geotagging.
