Madeline Blum, their teacher writes: "The ten 5th grade violin/viola students rehearsing in the lobby this morning are preparing for upcoming performances (on 11/11 and 12/14) in the Martin Theater.  The group includes six experienced violin students and four students (two on viola and two on violin) who began playing their instruments in September!  This is really the "Dalton Plan" in action.  The acoustics are terrific in the lobby and Bruce Bacon, Head of Dalton Security, has been kind enough to give me an open invitation to bring my students up from the basement.  Musicians need an audience.

The pieces the students played were: "Duet for 2 Little Witches" by Behzad Ranjbaran, "Blues" from the Little Suite #2 by Peter Martin, and "Carol of the Bells" -  a Ukranian carol."
