The experienced team of 6-7th grade students took home the impressive Overall Champion's Award.  Our 5-6th grade rookie team also won a first place Design award in Stategy & Innovation.  Both teams qualified for the NYC Championship on Sunday, March 18 at Javits.  The 4th grade teams should also be recognized for their first successful appearance at the tournament.  Congratulations to all for their hard work and impressive accomplishments.

The students and I are greatly indebted to the CCNY event volunteers, the coaches (Glenn Simonelli, Will Findley, Elissa Baim), the engineering student mentors (Azeezat Azeez, Kenshin Ushiroda), the expert parent-mentor-coaches (Chad Gallant, Rachel Young) and all the parents and family members who helped during practice or merely shared their invaluable support.

If you are interested in attending and showing your support at the NYC Championship Tournament in March, please make note of that date (3/18/12) as it falls on the first weekend of Dalton's spring break. It is free and open to the public and we welcome the support.

*Spring Robotics will also begin in March and will be open to all middle school students, with priority given to those students who have not participated in the fall. The school will soon send spring robotics registration information for interested students and families.
