3 Dalton Teams (6 Students) Place in the Top 10 at State Science Olympiad

Saturday, March 9, 2013 -  The Dalton Science team exceeded its goal by grabbing 3 of the top 10 awards at the State Science Olympiad tournament (composed of the top 51 teams in the state). The team had accomplished only one top 10 finish at each of their previous trips to the state tournament.
Top 10 finishers were:

4th place Designer Genes: Grace Farley and Olivia Katz
5th place Astronomy: Nick Joseph and Meet Patel
9th place Elastic Launched Glider: Celine Guan and Alex Fisher

Additionally, we placed in the top 20 in 3 more events:
  • 15th place Robot Arm: Chris Pardee, Nick Joseph, Dillon Azzam, Josh Kaye
  • 19th place Anatomy and Physiology: Sophia Edelstein, Olivia Katz
  • 19th place Write It Do It: Elana Simon, Alia Richardson
