Dalton Teachers From Tokyo and Nagoya Visit Dalton NYC
First Program students and teachers said "Sayonara" to four Japanese teachers visiting us from The Dalton Schools in Nagoya and Tokyo. Our visitors spent two weeks visiting classrooms, museums, special events taking place at Dalton, and a variety of NYC landmarks.
Each day they observed and interacted with many members of our community, and they were able to see first-hand how The Dalton Plan is implemented in a variety of settings. During a First Program divisional meeting, the teachers presented an overview of their schools. They shared Japanese materials, and games, taught us how to write Japanese characters, and how to make green tea.
This was a wonderful global exchange for all of us.
