Eric Velasquez, Author and Illlustrator, Visited First Program

Eric Velasquez, an award-winning author and illustrator, visited Little Dalton on Friday, November 1. Students and faculty loved hearing about his experiences growing up right here in NYC and his  journey to become a successful artist. He described the creative process of illustrating picture books from start to finish. His dynamic presentation also included heart-warming anecdotes from his youth, along with clips of music and dancing featuring his family’s favorite bands from their native Puerto Rico. He left everyone in our community feeling inspired, and we are so glad we had the opportunity to meet him!
