The Green Cup Challenge

The High School Environment Club is joining with the First Program for the Green Cup Challenge. It is an Interschool recycling initiative in which participating schools compete to minimize waste and maximize their recycling ability. The Green Cup challenge was beautifully introduced by our First Program students via a video they created recently
We encourage everyone to recycle properly into the green, blue and gray trash bins to create a more sustainable environment at Dalton. This is not only a five week project but a year long commitment to recycle effectively in the Dalton school. To use the bins correctly and recycle the most efficiently, please follow these guidelines:
  • Green Bin: All paper, cardboard, magazines
  • Blue Bin: Metal cans/caps,emptied glass/plastic bottles, emptied plastic cafeteria cups, tin foil
  • Trash (Gray) Bin: Bottle caps, soiled napkins/paper, food, coffee cups, wrappers (candy)
